Job summary

G-Asiapacific is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex IT projects in the cloud space. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, budgets, and ensure delivery excellence from initiation to closure.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of project management experience in cloud or technology settings, strong AWS knowledge, and proven ability to engage stakeholders and drive project governance. PMP/Prince2/AWS certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of project management experience in cloud or technology projects.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale, customer-facing projects.
• Strong understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture, security, and migration concepts.
• Experience with AI or automation in project reporting is a plus.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or AWS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cloud, migration, modernization, security, data, and AI projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with customers, AWS, vendors, Solution Architects, and security teams.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, scope changes, and escalations.
• Lead cadence meetings and provide status reporting to management and customers.
• Ensure proper governance, documentation, and sign-off.
• Track commercials, funding requirements, and milestone completion.
• Maintain accurate project information in Jira.
• Support continuous improvement and AI-assisted reporting and automation.

Job description

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and delivering complex IT projects within the cloud industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage cloud, migration, modernization, security, data, and AI related projects from initiation until closure
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, resource plans, and delivery dependencies
• Coordinate across customers, AWS, application vendors, Solution Architects, engineers, security teams, and managed services teams
• Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, scope changes, and escalation matters
• Lead project cadence meetings and provide clear status reporting to internal management and customers
• Manage migration waves, technical readiness, cutover planning, hypercare, knowledge transfer, and project handover
• Ensure proper project governance, documentation, acceptance, and sign off
• Track project commercials, AWS funding requirements, deliverables, and milestone completion where applicable
• Maintain accurate project information and action tracking in Jira
• Support continuous improvement and the adoption of AI for reporting, meeting summaries, risk identification, action tracking, and project automation

Preferred Experience and Knowledge:

• At least four to seven years of project management experience, preferably within cloud or technology projects
• Experience managing enterprise scale and customer facing projects
• Good understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture, migration concepts, networking, security, databases, and managed services
• AWS project delivery or AWS MAP experience will be an advantage
• Experience working with technical teams and the ability to understand technical risks, dependencies, and discussions
• Exposure to AI projects, generative AI, automation, or the application of AI within project management
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, documentation, and escalation management skills
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or AWS certification will be an advantage
• Able to manage multiple projects independently in a fast moving environment
