Job summary

Grab is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Malaysia to lead cross-functional programmes across People, Technology, Engineering, Product, and Operations. You will drive business outcomes, align stakeholders, and manage risks to deliver complex programmes using AI-enabled planning and governance.

You will collaborate with country teams and strengthen PMO practices while applying responsible AI and data handling. This onsite role reports to the Manager, Program Management.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years leading complex projects or transformations.
• Experience guiding cross-functional projects across HR, employee experience, or workforce processes.
• Strong understanding of software implementation, testing, rollout, and change management.
• Able to convert unclear requirements into structured delivery plans.
• Experience coordinating stakeholders across multiple countries, cultures, and departments.
• Hands-on experience building AI, automation, or workflow solutions.
• Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and workflows.
• Combines strategic thinking with practical project execution.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple workstreams across People, Technology, Engineering, Product, Operations, and regional teams to deliver outcomes.
• Establish and maintain project governance including status reporting, RAID logs, decision registers, steering forums, and escalation paths.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods as needed by the programme.
• Identify risks and dependencies early; drive mitigation actions and elevate decisions.
• Use GenAI tools to improve planning, reporting, risk analysis, and documentation with confidentiality controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, templates, and reporting standards.

Get to Know the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex, cross-functional programmes across multiple domains. You will drive business outcomes via the projects you manage, align stakeholders, track risks and dependencies.

You will work closely with People, Technology, Engineering, Product, Operations, and country teams. You will also help strengthen PMO practices, reporting, governance, and delivery standards across the organisation.

As a Senior Project Manager, you're expected to actively use AI tools to accelerate planning, reporting, risk analysis, and documentation and to bring an experimental mindset to identifying where AI and automation can remove friction from delivery work, while applying sound judgement on confidentiality and data handling.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Coordinate multiple workstreams across People, Technology, Engineering, Product, Operations, and regional teams to deliver agreed outcomes.
• Establish and maintain project governance, including status reporting, RAID logs, decision registers, steering forums, and escalation paths.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods based on the needs and complexity of each programme.
• Identify delivery risks and dependencies early, drive mitigation actions, and elevate decisions that could affect timelines or outcomes.
• Use GenAI tools to improve project planning, status reporting, meeting documentation, risk analysis, and workflow efficiency while applying appropriate confidentiality and review controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, templates, reporting standards, and delivery practices across the People Team.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• At least 5 years of experience working as a Project Manager, leading complex projects, transformation initiatives, or technology-enabled process improvements.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects involving Human Resources (HR), employee experience, or workforce-related processes, including enterprise systems implementation or large-scale software rollouts.
• Strong understanding of software implementation, testing, rollout, change management, and adoption.
• Experienced work through unclear requirements, prioritise competing demands, and convert ambiguity into structured delivery plans.
• Experience managing projects with stakeholders across different countries, cultures, and departments.
• Hands-on experience building AI, automation, or workflow solutions for real business problems.
• Experience using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity and workflows.'
• Combine strategic thinking with hands‑on project execution.

Good to Have

• Experience applying human oversight, data protection, and risk controls when implementing AI solutions.
• Experience leading M&A integration projects.
• Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
