Job summary

Surbana Jurong in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary power and energy projects from inception to completion. You will drive planning, design, procurement, construction oversight, and commissioning, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree (Master’s preferred), 5–10 years’ post-graduate experience in GT/CCGT/thermal plants or renewables, PMI certification preferred, and proficiency in Primavera, MS

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from a reputable university; master’s preferred.
• 5–10 years post-graduate experience in power/energy projects.
• Experience with GT/CCGT/thermal plants or renewables advantageous.
• PMI certification preferred; familiar with project management standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning and management across scope, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and align with organizational goals.
• Oversee design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Manage contractors, IOOs, and site inspections for quality and safety.
• Monitor expenditures, prepare financial reports and forecasts.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and timely approvals.
