Job summary

Axiom in Prai, Penang seeks a Production Planning Manager to lead forecasting and material planning to meet production schedules. You will oversee Master Scheduling, shop scheduling, and dispatching, aligning plans with plant capacity and company goals.

You will develop planning models, coordinate with suppliers and customers, monitor performance, and drive cost reductions through process improvements. Travel may be required to support operations and implement changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Masters degree preferred.
• 10+ years in production control and planning, including supervision; background in electronics manufacturing is desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage production forecasts to define requirements.
• Ensure plans align with plant capacity and company goals.
• Oversee Master Scheduling, Production Planning/Coordination, Shop Scheduling, and Dispatching.
• Develop material planning models to optimize inventory for customer programs.
• Verify material readiness by coordinating with purchasing and suppliers.
• Report production status and issues to upper management; travel as needed.
