Job summary

Brooks Automation in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is seeking a Senior Production Planner to optimize production schedules for semiconductor robotics manufacturing at the Pasir Gudang site. You will oversee material flow, capacity planning, and on-time delivery, balancing inventory with production demand.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or manufacturing and 6+ years in manufacturing, with strong ERP and lean experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field with 6+ years' experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling processes.
• Proficiency in production planning software and tools.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret production data and performance metrics.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and lean manufacturing principles.
• Oracle ERP experience is a plus.
• Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production and non-production areas to be more efficient and reduce waste.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review Oracle MRP and similar applications multiple times weekly, per area to assure timely responsiveness to changes in demand that trigger updated production planning.
• Attend and manage SIOP and R&O meetings for an individual product line(s).
• Create and release Production Orders in support of the above, with keen awareness of the completion dates needed, component and capacity availability, and any other resource issues needed to support on-time delivery to internal and external customers.
• Research and analyze root causes of late deliveries in support of corrective actions needed to drive delivery improvement. Also able to perform similar actions proactively for future demand.
• Support the ongoing Quality Management by ensuring all applicable policies, procedures, and work instructions comply.
• Conduct regular review of inventory levels in areas of responsibility to minimize inventory while assuring adequate component and finished goods stock to support corporate delivery and financial goals; take actions needed to avoid slow and excess inventory.
• Based on re-order points or customers' orders, schedule production orders while optimizing manufacturing sequence.
• Any other duties as assigned.

About the Role: Brooks Automation is a fast-paced technology company that works on the forefront of Semiconductor Robotics and Automation solutions as we continue to push the capabilities of robotics inside of semiconductor fabs. We are now looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our team in Johor Bahru at our brand-new manufacturing facility.

The Production Planner will have a solid background in Manufacturing within the Semiconductor industry, strong organizational skills, and the ability to optimize production schedules to meet business objectives. You will oversee and assist with planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials. This will include responsibility for inventory levels, capacity planning, and on-time shipment.

Work Location : Onsite - Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru.

Key Responsibilities
