Job summary

Vital Healthcare Sdn Bhd in Selangor, Malaysia, designs and manufactures dialyzers and blood purification products for global markets.

We seek a Production Planner/Lead to supervise the planning team, develop production plans, monitor stock levels, and schedule orders to ensure on-time delivery.

Candidates should have 3+ years in production planning or scheduling, strong analytical skills, and a degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management; ERP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a production planning or scheduling role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Proficient in the use of production planning and scheduling software, such as ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate the production planning team to ensure smooth operations and achievement of department goals.
• Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and company objectives.
• Responsible for planning materials requirements for production and machine planning.
• Continue monitoring and reviewing stock levels, and order lead times to ensure direct production materials inventory is sufficient and fully optimized.
• Prepare and update daily output reports, weekly production schedules, and monthly production plans & reports.
• Schedule sales orders production to meet the on-time shipment delivery.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the overall production system.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior production planning staff.

What you'll be doing

Team management and leadership: Lead, supervise, and coordinate the production planning team to ensure smooth operations and achievement of department goals.

Production planning and implementation: Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and company objectives.

Material and machine planning: Responsible for planning materials requirements for production and machine planning.

Stock monitoring and optimization: Responsible for continuing monitoring and reviewing stock levels, and order lead times to ensure direct production materials inventory is sufficient and fully optimized.

Reports and schedules updating: Responsible for preparing and updating daily output reports, weekly production schedules, and monthly production plans & reports.

Sales orders scheduling: Responsible for scheduling sales orders production to meet the on-time shipment delivery.

Process improvement identification: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the overall production system.

Training and mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to junior production planning staff.

What we're looking for

3+ years of experience in a production planning or scheduling role, preferably within the healthcare or manufacturing industry

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions

Proficient in the use of production planning and scheduling software, such as ERP systems

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments

A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
