Job summary

Motorola Solutions Malaysia, Penang, is seeking an Experienced Quality Engineer to design and install quality control processes, and to analyze quality health for NPI products.

You will drive risk mitigation, review failure analyses, and approve test plans, coordinating with engineering, operations and suppliers to maintain product quality.

Requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least 5 years in product development or manufacturing; Mandarin skills are a plus for China ODM suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience in product development or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient in quality tools (8D, DFMEA, CPK).
• Certification in quality assurance or Six Sigma belt is a plus.
• Mandarin ability is a plus for managing China ODM suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Design and install quality control processes, procedures, tools, and statistical techniques.
• Formulate quality policies and analyze economic impact of quality processes.
• Understand customer needs; develop Quality Plan; track and report quality health for NPI products.
• Identify quality risk and drive mitigation actions to closure.
• Review and approve failure analyses and CAPAs to ensure robust processes.
• Design and specify quality control sampling and testing procedures.
• Review product certification test plans for iterative changes in NPI lifecycle.
• Assess customer impact for product quality issues and drive issue resolution.
• Lead lessons learned and drive improvements across the organization.
• Monitor data to identify trends and drive process improvement.
