Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Penang seeks a Product Quality professional to design and install quality control processes and metrics for NPI products.

You will formulate policies, track quality health, identify risks, drive corrective actions, and ensure products meet requirements and standards. Mandarin is a plus for supplier management, and a Six Sigma background is valued. Travel up to 10% may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and experience in quality.
• At least 5 years in product development or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in quality tools such as 8D, DFMEA and CPK.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Quality assurance certification or Six Sigma belt is a plus.
• Mandarin ability is a plus to manage China ODM Suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Design and install quality control processes, procedures, tools, and statistical techniques.
• Formulate quality policies and evaluate economic impact of quality controls.
• Understand customer needs, develop Quality Plan, track quality status for NPI products.
• Identify quality risk and drive risk mitigation actions to closure to ensure product meets requirements and quality standards.
• Review and approve failure analyses and CAPAs to ensure robust processes.
• Design and specify quality control sampling and testing procedures.
• Review and approve NPI product readiness for release or ship acceptance.
• Assess customer and business impact for quality issues and drive global resolution.
• Lead lessons learned meetings and institutionalize improvements.
• Monitor and analyze product/process performance data and drive improvements.
