Job summary

Zohorecruit in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, seeks a Senior/Staff Product Design Engineer to lead the development of connector solutions from concept to validation. You will translate customer needs into robust drawings and specifications, perform design analyses, and ensure designs meet manufacturability and quality standards.

The role requires 7+ years in product design with strong CAD/CAE skills (CREO, ANSYS) and experience in interconnects.

Qualifications

7+ years of product design development experience with engineering and design principles.
Experience in interconnects design industry (SFF-TA-1001/1002, PCIe CEM) desirable.
Proficient with mechanical design, solid mechanics, and tolerance analysis.
Familiar with CAD/CAE tools: CREO and ANSYS structural analysis.
Knowledge of engineering drawing standards.
Exposure to connector application, plastics, insert-molding, stamping processes preferred.

Responsibilities

Participate in development of new products and improvements focusing on connector solutions.
Design and develop quality products ensuring manufacturability with other engineering functions.
Translate customer requirements into product drawings and specifications; perform design analysis and verification.
Ensure designs validated per customer requirements and industry standards.
Lead projects, define and reconcile technical DFM with Process Design team.
Be part of an integrated team to anticipate and resolve customer dissatisfaction.
Improve product designs to reduce manufacturing cost.
