Job summary

Astro Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Commercial Video Producer to manage end-to-end video production for TV, digital and events. You will handle filming and editing for short-form content, social media videos, event highlights, and sales pitches, while coordinating with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality outputs.

The role requires strong editing, live streaming knowledge and the ability to work under pressure, with English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency; Mandarin is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production-related field.
• Knowledge in editing software FCPX, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut.
• Knowledge in live streaming on social media (OBS, NDI Tools) a bonus.
• Good oral/written communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin a bonus.
• Capable of working independently and as a team player.
• Able to operate under high pressure and meet deadlines.
• Able to manage clients and production houses thoughtfully.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end video production from briefing, planning and shooting to editing and final delivery for TV, digital, branded content, events and campaigns.
• Independently handle camera work and video editing for short-form digital content, social media videos, event highlights, case studies and sales pitches.
• Support clients, Marketing Services and Creative Solutions with production requirements, ensuring prompt responses and timely delivery.
• Manage multiple projects and urgent requests, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality and creative standards.
• Oversee production budgets, timelines, resources, vendors and approvals, ensuring compliance with broadcast, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Explore new production trends, technologies, vendors and workflows to improve efficiency and cost competitiveness.

• Manage multiple projects and urgent requests, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality and creative standards.
• Oversee production budgets, timelines, resources, vendors and stakeholder approvals, ensuring all content complies with broadcast, legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in production-related field, social media/online platform experience is a bonus.
• Knowledge in editing software e.g. FCPX, Adobe creative suites, CapCut.
• Knowledge in live streaming on social media is a bonus e.g. OBS, NDI Tools.
• Good oral/written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, speaking in Mandarin is a bonus.
• Capable of working independently and a good team player.
• Able to operate under high pressure condition.
• Able to manage client and production house in a thoughtful manner.
