Job summary

Picogen Industry Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Production Planner/Engineer to own production scheduling, capacity planning, and routing for high-precision components in a multidisciplinary workshop environment.

You will work closely with management to understand commercial costing and provide insights from a technical planning perspective, aiming to elevate operations beyond pure scheduling.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret complex 2D & 3D engineering drawings fluently.
• Hands-on understanding of precision machining operations (CNC Milling/Turning, EDM, Wire Cut, and Precision Grinding).
• Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to verify dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Define and map out step-by-step production sequences and machine routing across workshop departments.
• Evaluate shop-floor capacity, material availability, and lead times to generate realistic master production schedules (MPS).
• Review incoming 2D/3D blueprints for DFM and process feasibility.
• Estimate setup times and machining cycle times; apply material rates and machine hourly rates to cost templates for quotes.
• Monitor WIP, identify bottlenecks, and drive continual shop-floor efficiency improvements.
