Job summary

ams OSRAM in Kulim, Malaysia is seeking a Process Integration Senior Staff Engineer to own major blocks of frontend LED manufacturing processes and ensure robust, high-yield production. You will act as a bridge between unit process development, chip development and factory process engineering, drive introductions of new technologies, and own control plans for successful tech transfers and ramp-ups.

Strong collaboration across QA, process development, and R&D, plus English fluency and a track

Qualifications

• Master degree or PhD in Physics, Chemistry or Material Sciences.
• Min 5 years experience in semiconductor or LED fabrication processes.
• Project management skills are beneficial.
• Advanced problem solving skills (Six Sigma), DOE, FMEA, 8D, SPC; automotive experience beneficial.
• Experience with statistical software beneficial (e.g. Minitab, DOE software).
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Process Integration representative for frontend LED manufacturing processes: define and own functional blocks, ensure that all steps deliver a robust, high-yield product.
• Introduce new technologies/platforms/products into production and act as a bridge between unit process development, chip development and factory process engineering; own control plan.
• Ensure robust process development, design for manufacturability, fit to factory capabilities; bring mass production experience into development.
• Understand tool capabilities, influence tool roadmap, achieve capex utilization and target cost goals; monitor critical parameters and update control plans.
• Technical ownership for site-to-site technology/product transfers; supervise manufacturing with process engineering and QA; improve yields and cost.
• Support excursion management, root cause finding and cross-functional problem solving with multiple departments.
• Be the process ownership at customer audits and for control-plan reporting; own and maintain deliverables from freeze onwards; lead cross-functional teams.
