Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in Malaysia seeks an experienced manufacturing/engineering professional to drive product quality and yield improvements in LED assembly. The role focuses on process control, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to meet output targets.

You will own quality processes, support audits, and work with development teams to set up new products and processes. A background in SPC, 8D problem solving, and strong communication is required; hands-on efficiency

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering, Materials, Science or equivalent.
5+ years in manufacturing/engineering, preferably LED assembly; spray coating knowledge a plus.
Understanding of semiconductor backend manufacturing processes integration.
Self-starter and capable of working with senior management expectations.
Knowledge of Statistical process control, problem solving (8D) and semiconductor processes.
Experience in Data Analytics to derive problems and guide decisions.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Exposure to LEDs or IC production is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Maintain and improve quality cases, and improve yield performance.
Process owner to govern and improve process control and documentation.
Control direct and indirect material usage and wastage.
Support internal and customer audits, respond to audit findings.
Lead and support productivity improvements and capacity expansion.
Collaborate with Product Development, PI, PO and BT for new product/process setup and handover.
