Job summary

onsemi Malaysia is seeking a Principal Test Development Engineer to lead the development of advanced test solutions for PSG's power semiconductor portfolio, including Si, SiC, IGBT and GaN technologies. The role spans wafer sort, die-level, package final, and power module test development, with emphasis on robust, scalable methods supporting qualification, ramp, yield optimization and long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of semiconductor test engineering experience.
• 5+ years direct test development experience.
• Proven experience with power semiconductor products (Si, SiC, IGBT, GaN).
• Leadership in NPI and production test deployment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for a global team of test development engineers.
• Drive test architecture decisions from concept to high-volume manufacturing.
• Develop robust, cost-effective, scalable test solutions for qualification and ramp.
• Partner with Design, Product Engineering, Quality, Operations and Manufacturing across multiple sites.
• Lead data analytics to drive decision-making and defect reduction.
