Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia seeks a hands-on engineer skilled in Vue frontend, Python backend, and cloud/infrastructure automation. You will design web apps and dashboards, own CI/CD pipelines, containerize services, and manage Azure-based infrastructure with IaC practices.

Qualified candidates have strong Python and Vue experience, CI/CD expertise, and production work with Docker/Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Excellent English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer engineering or computer science or electrical engineering, or comparable disciplines.
• Strong Python development experience with REST APIs and frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).
• Front-end experience with Vue, HTML, and CSS; able to ship internal tools end-to-end without a dedicated UI team.
• Deep hands-on CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and Jenkins, including pipeline-as-code and self-hosted runners.
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes: manifests, Helm charts, deployments, troubleshooting.
• Azure experience for VM provisioning, networking, cost control, and lifecycle management.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB in production, including optimization and maintenance.
• Experience applying AI tooling (Claude Code, agentic skills, MCP server) to automate engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal web apps and dashboards using Python back ends and Vue, exposing data via REST APIs.
• Own CI/CD across the team: pipelines in GitHub Actions and Jenkins, including release automation and artifact management.
• Containerize services with Docker and deploy on Kubernetes; operate them at scale.
• Provision and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and lab resources with IaC practices.
• Design and administer PostgreSQL and MongoDB stores, including schema design and performance tuning.
• Integrate AI tooling to automate triage, reporting, and routine engineering tasks.
• Instrument observability: logging, metrics, alerting; drive MTTR improvements.
• Debug and root-cause across browser to cloud stack; collaborate with validation and firmware teams.
