Job summary

FP Global is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to develop and control project programmes using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for projects based in Johor Bahru and Penang.

You will build WBS, perform CPM analyses, manage resources and costs, load data in Primavera P6, and report progress to clients. Travel and relocation to Johor Bahru or Penang may be required. Strong Excel skills and office suite are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in planning.
• Experience on rail and road projects is advantageous.
• Extensive knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Strong MS Office skills and English fluency.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to Johor Bahru or Penang.

Responsibilities

• Develop Master and Detailed Implementation Programmes aligned with project requirements.
• Build and maintain WBS and sequencing with key milestones.
• Perform CPM analysis and schedule impact assessments.
• Load manpower, resources and costs in Primavera P6 to forecast delivery.
• Plan and optimise resources, including activity leveling.
• Create time–location charts in Excel and produce progress dashboards.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction teams.
• Submit programme deliverables on time per client requirements.
