Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised institution
• Current registration with the Malaysian physiotherapy regulatory body
• 5–7 years post-qualification experience in physiotherapy
• Clinical expertise in musculoskeletal, neuromuscular or sports rehab
• Proven ability to supervise and develop junior staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of best practices and current rehab methodologies
• Ability to teach and mentor staff
• Experience with electronic patient records is a plus

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join The Art of Physio in a full-time capacity based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This is a strategic leadership position within our physiotherapy and rehabilitation department, where you will combine clinical expertise with mentorship responsibilities. As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care whilst driving clinical excellence, establishing best practices, and nurturing the development of junior physiotherapy staff. This position is integral to our mission of providing comprehensive rehabilitation services and maintaining the highest standards of patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Providing direct physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services to patients across various conditions, utilising evidence-based clinical practice

Developing individualised treatment plans and rehabilitation programmes tailored to patient needs and clinical objectives

Conducting comprehensive patient evaluations using advanced assessment techniques and diagnostic reasoning

Mentoring, supervising and coaching junior physiotherapy staff, providing clinical guidance and professional development opportunities

Leading the design and implementation of clinical protocols, treatment guidelines and rehabilitation programmes

Maintaining detailed and accurate clinical documentation and patient records in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements

Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care and optimal outcomes

Contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives and clinical audit activities

Staying current with developments in physiotherapy practice through ongoing professional education and research

Supporting the management and coordination of departmental operations and resources

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Physiotherapy from a recognised institution

Current registration or licensure with the relevant physiotherapy regulatory body in Malaysia

Minimum 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in physiotherapy practice

Demonstrated clinical expertise in musculoskeletal, neuromuscular or sports rehabilitation fields

Proven experience in patient assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based treatment planning

Strong mentoring and leadership capabilities with the ability to supervise and develop junior staff

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to educate patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals

Sound knowledge of physiotherapy best practices, clinical guidelines and current rehabilitation methodologies

Problem-solving ability and clinical reasoning skills

Professional attributes including integrity, compassion and commitment to patient-centred care

Preferred: Additional qualifications such as postgraduate diplomas or certifications in specialised areas of physiotherapy

Preferred: Experience in clinical leadership or management roles

Preferred: Experience with electronic patient record systems
