Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP and related web technologies. You will mentor junior developers and help drive technical direction across projects.

The role requires 5+ years of experience with PHP frameworks, RESTful APIs, and modern front-end stacks. Based in Kuala Lumpur, the position emphasizes scalable, secure solutions and Agile collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional PHP development experience.
• Proficiency in PHP, Laravel, Symfony, or other PHP frameworks.
• Strong SQL and database design skills.
• RESTful API development and integration experience.
• Front-end skills with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (Angular, React, Vue).
• Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of design patterns, OOP, and SOLID.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable PHP web applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and UX/UI designers to gather requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Develop and integrate APIs and third-party tools.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies like daily stand-ups and sprints.
• Contribute to process improvements and tooling.
• Mentor junior developers and promote a culture of learning.
