Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior PHP Developer to join our development team. You will build and maintain web applications, contributing to both backend and frontend development.

This role is suited for a senior level developer (3–6 years experience) who can handle feature development, system improvements, and basic deployment tasks. You will work with PHP Laravel, Vue.js, RESTful APIs, and MySQL, aiming for scalable, high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in web development using Laravel and Vue.js.
• Strong portfolio or production experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP (Laravel framework).

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in PHP development (3–6 years preferred)
• Solid hands-on experience with Laravel framework
• Proficiency in Vue.js (Vue 2 or Vue 3) and Vue SFCs (Single File Components)
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX
• Good knowledge of MySQL, including database design and query optimization
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
• Familiar with Git version control and team-based development workflow
• Experience with Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap
• Knowledge of Redis, Queue Jobs, and caching strategies
• Familiarity with Linux server environments (basic deployment understanding)
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile development workflow
