Job summary

Plexus Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a Technical Training Senior Staff Engineer (PCBA/HLA/SMT) in Penang, Malaysia. The role focuses on identifying training needs, developing curricula, and delivering programs to close performance gaps across the site.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Science degree with minimum 5 years’ working experience in PCBA environment.
• Strong analytical skill and familiar with Minitab/Statistical analysis.
• Knowledge in IPC standard and 8D problem solving skill.
• Experience in chemical qualification activities such as solder paste, flux and etc and pallet design would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Identify technical training needs/curriculums with site managers and develop training solutions (classroom, hands-on, etc.).
• Collaborate with SMEs or external consultants to develop training materials and methodology for technical training.
• Conduct relevant technical training programs following the schedule.
• Support and monitor manufacturing-engineering development curriculums and processes at regional level.
• Obtain buy-in from site leaders and ensure shared ownership of engineers’ competency development.
• Source and coordinate training programs to maximize participation across engineering teams.
• Measure training effectiveness via surveys, feedback, and assessments.
• Develop and manage training resources (trainers, materials, equipment) for shared use across sites.
• Expand training resources with SMEs to deploy APAC-wide.
