Job summary

Empire Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Kapar, Selangor is seeking a Packaging Technologist to support packaging development, ensure quality and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include evaluating supplier materials, developing specifications, coordinating trials, testing alternative packaging, and collaborating with Engineering, QA, Production and Procurement.

Experience: at least 2 years for Packaging Technologist or 4 years for Senior Packaging Technologist, with strong knowledge of GMP,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and take initiative.
• Knowledge of GMP, Halal, HACCP, ISO 9001, and FSSC 22000 standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess packaging materials from suppliers to ensure quality.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications for packaging materials.
• Collaborate with suppliers on new materials and packaging changes.
• Conduct testing and evaluate alternative packaging materials.
• Coordinate manufacturing trials for new packaging designs.
• Support product development documentation and packaging configurations.
• Provide technical support to resolve customer feedback related to packaging.
