Job summary

Emerson in Malaysia seeks an experienced Order Engineer to validate customer orders, verify configurations, and ensure alignment with engineering standards. You will collaborate with Sales, manufacturing, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain accurate product structures for customized solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Order Engineering, Application Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, commercial documents, and product bulletins.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems such as Oracle.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a global environment.

Responsibilities

• Review pricing accuracy for special constructions and customized solutions.
• Respond promptly to order-related inquiries and provide technical clarification when required.
• Support backlog management and critical business requirements to ensure customer commitments are achieved.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, productivity, and order quality.
• Escalate unresolved issues appropriately to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of business objectives.

• Exposure to process improvement, productivity enhancement, or digitalization initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
