Job summary

Altera Corporation seeks a principal network security engineer/architect to shape, design, and improve security across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid networks. You will lead hands-on architecture work, influence engineering teams, and mentor peers without people management duties.

In this senior role, you will drive Zero Trust adoption, segmentation, secure-by-design principles, and resilient network patterns while guiding policy, standards, and threat-detection capabilities across the global

Qualifications

Extensive experience designing security architecture for large distributed environments.
Proven principal engineer or senior technical authority for network-security programs.
Ability to own outcomes from discovery to operational transition.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve enterprise network security strategy and reference architectures.
Architect secure designs for on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Lead threat detection, monitoring, and incident response initiatives.
Own firewall governance, segmentation, and policy lifecycle management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate security requirements into designs.
