Job summary

RHB Banking Group is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and optimize Data Center Network infrastructure across multiple entities in Malaysia. You will manage Cisco ACI/Nexus/Catalyst, routers, SD-WAN, and related devices, ensuring high availability and regulatory compliance.

You will work with cross‑functional teams to design, implement and improve network services, monitor health, resolve incidents, and drive efficiency while maintaining security standards.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in network operations and infrastructure support.
• Hands‑on expertise with Cisco ACI, Nexus, Catalyst, Routers and SD‑WAN.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and administration tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non‑technical teams; compliant mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day operational support and maintenance of Data Center Network infrastructure.
• Install, configure, patch and monitor devices to ensure high availability (SLA/OLA).
• Resolve incidents and perform root cause analyses to minimize disruptions.
• Assist design and enhancement of Data Center Network aligned to best practices.
• Identify operational efficiencies and contribute to improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal audits, security policies and regulatory requirements.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Network Engineer to join our Group Technology at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will be responsible for the support, administration, and optimization of Data Center Network infrastructure across multiple entities including Bank, Islamic, Insurance, Investment Bank, and regional offices.

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide day-to-day operational support and maintenance of Data Center Network infrastructure including Cisco ACI/Nexus/Catalyst/Routers/SDWAN, Huawei Switches/Routers, F5 GTM/LTM, Brocade Switches, and Gigamon
• Perform network administration tasks such as installation, configuration, patch management, and real-time monitoring using network tools, ensuring optimal health and uptime (SLA/OLA: 99.96%)
• Support incident resolution and root cause analysis to minimize service disruptions, escalating complex issues to Technical Lead/Superior when required
• Work closely with Technical Lead/Superior in the design, implementation, and enhancement of Data Center Network infrastructure aligned to industry standards and best practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for operational efficiency
• Ensure strict compliance with internal audit guidelines, security policies, and regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience in network operations and infrastructure support
• Hands‑on expertise in managing Cisco ACI, Nexus, Catalyst, Routers, and SD‑WAN technologies
• Familiarity with network monitoring and administration tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in handling network incidents and root cause analysis
• Good collaboration and communication skills to work with technical and non‑technical teams
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards in financial institutions is an added advantage
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet high availability and performance expectations
