Job summary

AvePoint is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join our engineering team in Kuala Lumpur. You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable applications using modern .NET technologies, with a focus on microservices and containerized deployments on Kubernetes.

You will collaborate across teams to deliver features and ensure robust data handling with PostgreSQL and SQL Server. You should have 5+ years of experience in .NET development, strong C# skills, and proficiency in RESTful

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in .NET/.NET Core.
• Strong proficiency in C# and OO programming.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing microservices and distributed systems.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes in AKS/EKS or on-premises.
• Solid understanding of database design and development, esp. PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, message brokers, and cloud concepts.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in English.

Experience & Skills Required

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy robust backend services and APIs using.NET Core / .NET 6+.
• Architect and implementmicroservices-based solutions, ensuring scalability, resilience, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work withKubernetes(AKS, EKS, or on-prem) to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following best practices and design patterns.
• Design and optimize database schemas, write complex queries, and ensure data integrity usingSQL Server(or other relational databases).
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends and proactively propose improvements to our tech stack and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability and performance.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development with a focus on .NET / .NET Core.
• Strong proficiency in C# and object-oriented programming principles.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing microservices and distributed systems.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes in at least one environment:Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Amazon EKS , or on-premises Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of database design and development, particularly with PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design, message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka), and cloud concepts.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.
• A continuous learning mindset, with a willingness to adapt to new technologies and challenges.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience withcloud platforms(Azure, AWS, or GCP) and their managed services.
