Job summary

The MRO Commodity Manager at PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is responsible for negotiating contracts to support local MRO commodity and supplier management, cost optimization, and supply assurance in Bayan Lepas, Penang.

You will lead strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier performance reviews, collaborating with engineering, planning, legal, and finance to deliver value and mitigate risk across local operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 3+ years of experience in category management and/or strategic sourcing of MRO or related commodities
• Degree in business or engineering preferred
• Subject matter expertise in sourcing & contracting tools (SAP and/or Oracle)

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity strategies for local area to align with GCM strategies
• Lead negotiations on procurement agreements including master agreements and SOWs
• Conduct RFPs/RFQs and lead cross-functional teams to select preferred suppliers
• Evaluate supplier proposals, perform ROI and cost analyses, and benchmark pricing
• Provide global contract expertise for sourcing of MRO across business units
• Manage supplier relationships with focus on supply risk and cost management
