Job summary

Scicom MSC Berhad is seeking an experienced Monitoring & O&M specialist to manage and optimize large-scale private monitoring platforms. You will operate monitoring clusters, ensure data integrity across databases, and troubleshoot complex issues in Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.

The role requires strong scripting in Shell and Python and mandates fluent Chinese communication for daily operations and documentation, with a focus on automation and cross-system reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in CS/IT/SE or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of monitoring and O&M experience.
• Experience in full lifecycle operation and maintenance of large-scale private monitoring platforms.
• Experience operating and maintaining monitoring clusters and business/database monitoring environments.
• Proficient in configuring and tuning Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana and ELK clusters.
• Proficient in PromQL and troubleshooting monitoring issues.
• Experience monitoring Linux, Kubernetes, MySQL, Oracle, Redis, Kafka and Flink.
• Strong understanding of database monitoring, risk identification and anomaly handling.
• Experience with ETL/CDC task monitoring and cross-system data reconciliation.
• Proficient in Shell and Python scripting.
• Able to develop automation tools and troubleshoot monitoring and business issues independently.
• Mandatory: Fluent in Chinese for daily communication and documentation.
