Job summary

Flex is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to join the Mechanical Plant Batu Kawan, Penang. You will maintain quality programs, standards and improvements, and interact with customers on quality issues.

The role involves inspection planning, data analysis, corrective actions (NCR/CAPA), and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 years of Quality Engineering experience in mechanical manufacturing.
• Experience with stamping, assembly, welding, powder coating, machining or metal fabrication.
• Hands-on measurement with Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Profile Projector and CMM.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, QMS, audits, NCR, CAPA, and continuous improvement practices.
• Experience in customer complaint handling and 8D problem solving with RCA.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains quality engineering programs, standards and improvements.
• Directs measurement and testing activities and reports quality results.
• Initiates corrective actions and tracks closure to ensure improvement.
• Supports audits and development of quality standards for processing materials.
• Collaborates with engineers and customers to resolve quality issues and ensure satisfaction.
