Job summary

Brady Corporation Asia Pte Ltd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead design and NPD activities for enclosure parts and tooling. You will work with R&D and manufacturing teams to transfer products from design to production, and to qualify tooling with suppliers.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in design/NPD, and strong skills in SolidWorks, GD&T, and DFMA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree required.
• 5+ years in design/NPD or related roles.
• Understanding of plastic injection molding, sheet metal, die casting and tooling processes (mechanical).
• Able to understand electrical boards and firmware flashing.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design reviews and critique designs based on company manufacturing and supplier capability.
• Design printer enclosure parts with R&D team.
• Solve problems independently and deliver on time, cost, and quality.
• Assemble and test prototypes.
• Transfer products from design to manufacturing with R&D and production teams.
• Liaise with and manage suppliers to meet design requirements and deliverables.
