Job summary

Ramboll Buildings Asia Pacific is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of high‑performance mechanical systems for data centres and other critical facilities in Malaysia. You will prepare technical calculations and drawings, coordinate with clients and consultants, and oversee construction through testing and commissioning.

You should have a mechanical engineering degree recognised by the Board of Engineers Malaysia and 5+ years in M&E consultancy, with proficiency in AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Board of Engineers Malaysia recognised).
• 5+ years of relevant M&E consultancy experience.
• Solid understanding of local codes, standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and specification of mechanical systems for data centres and buildings (Air‑Conditioning, Ventilation, Fire Protection).
• Prepare design calculations, technical docs, and drawings per local authorities.
• Participate in meetings and deliver practical engineering solutions.
• Provide project management support and construction supervision to ensure safe, quality delivery.
• Review contractor submissions and conduct site inspections to verify installation quality.
