Job summary

Ramboll Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and deliver robust electrical systems for data centres, including high‑voltage substations and 415V networks. You will coordinate with clients, consultants and site teams to ensure compliant design delivery and successful project execution.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering, 5+ years’ M&E consultancy or data centre experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux and ETAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering accredited by BEM.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with M&E consultancy firms or data centre projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Malaysian codes and regulations.
• Proficient in engineering software including AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux and ETAP.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical systems for data centres and buildings including 132kV and 33kV substations, 415V systems, generators, UPS, and ELV systems.
• Prepare detailed design documentation, calculations, and drawings for statutory and authority submissions.
• Participate in client, consultant, site and technical coordination meetings.
• Provide project management support and oversee construction supervision activities.
• Review and evaluate contractors’ submissions; inspect installations for compliance.
• Witness testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with clients’ project teams and multidisciplinary consultants for coordinated design delivery.
