Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a Senior Executive in Mechanical Engineering with a Bachelor’s or Professional degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience. Experience in consultancy or construction projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities include detailed design calculations, drawing checks, tender documentation, cost estimation, liaison with authorities and site staff, review of submittals, progress claims, change management, and site meetings. ISO 9001 implementation support is also expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Senior Executive with Mechanical Engineering specialization preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in consultancy or construction projects preferred.

• Prepare detailed design calculations.
• Check engineering drawings.
• Prepare tender and contract documents.
• Prepare cost estimates for tender packages.
• Liaise with authorities, resident engineer and site supervisor.
• Review contractors’ submittals and shop drawings.
• Assess progress claims for works completed.
• Review design changes.
• Attend project and site meetings.
• Assist in ISO 9001 implementation and quality management.

• Preferably a Senior Executive specializing in Mechanical Engineering.

Main Responsibilities:

• a) To prepare detail design calculations.
• b) To check engineering drawings.
• c) To prepare tender and contract documents.
• d) To prepare cost estimates for tender packages.
• e) To liaise with relevant authorities, resident engineer and site supervisor.
• f) To check engineers’ review of contractors’ submittals and shop drawings.
• g) To assess progress claims for works completed.
• h) To review design changes.
• i) To attend project and site meetings.
• j) To participate in the implementation of ISO 9001 for the company’s quality management system
• k) To assist Principal Engineers in administration works contracts.
• l) Additional assignments by the Principal, Directors or Associate as and when necessary.
