Job summary

Shenzhen Colibri Technologies Co., Ltd. in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team.

You will analyze customer requirements, produce detailed drawings and BOMs, and oversee prototype assembly and on-site debugging. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, has at least 3 years of experience in precision equipment design, and shows strong CAD/SolidWorks skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Strong listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in precision equipment design and die bonding.
• Familiarity with high-precision equipment design processes.
• Proficiency in CAD, SolidWorks, and other relevant design software.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team collaboration spirit.
• Preference for candidates with experience in relevant industries.

• Must possess a positive work attitude and strong team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and organize customer requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and validate functional experiments.
• Develop and document design solutions, including design reports and experimental data.
• Conduct design reviews, optimization, and finalization; organize key component lists and estimate costs.
• Perform detailed structural design, select standard components, create drawings for machined parts, compile BOMs, and generate necessary design documents (e.g., design solutions, flowcharts, pneumatic diagrams, and assembly guidelines).
• Oversee prototype assembly and debugging, ensuring on-site troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues.
• Collect and analyze issues encountered during equipment delivery and on-site usage; continuously optimize and improve existing equipment designs while updating design documentation.
