Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN MINDE GROUP SDN. BHD. is seeking a seasoned Materials / Supply Chain Manager in Johor to lead the materials function across procurement, planning, inventory and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• Strong management experience within materials, procurement, purchasing or supply chain.
• Experience leading procurement, planning and materials teams in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiar with ERP/MRP systems and supplier management.
• Exposure to EMS/electronics manufacturing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead materials, procurement and supply chain activities supporting manufacturing and customer requirements.
• Manage and develop the purchasing / materials team to achieve operational and business objectives.
• Drive material planning and MRP execution according to customer demand, forecasts and production requirements.
• Ensure material availability and Clear-to-Build readiness to support production and customer delivery.
• Identify and resolve material shortages, allocation constraints, long lead-time issues and supplier disruptions.
• Drive supplier performance covering delivery, lead time, cost, capacity and responsiveness.
• Lead supplier negotiations involving pricing, MOQ, lead time and commercial requirements.
• Work closely with strategic sourcing and suppliers to maintain supply continuity and cost competitiveness.
• Manage inventory levels, inventory turns, excess & obsolete materials and working capital.
• Drive inventory optimization without compromising production requirements or customer delivery.
• Support NPI, engineering changes, ECN/ECO and new material readiness.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality and Program/Customer teams.
• Support customer escalations involving material availability, shortages and supply commitments.
• Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs, material performance and improvement initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement, planning, materials and supply chain processes.
