Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN MINDE GROUP SDN. BHD. in Johor is seeking a Buyer / Purchaser with manufacturing experience to manage production material purchasing and supplier coordination.

You will ensure material readiness, review MRP requirements and issue purchase orders to support production schedules. The role offers exposure to materials management, inventory levels and supplier negotiations within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• Experience in buying, purchasing, procurement or material-related supply chain functions within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of MRP, material requirements, inventory, shortages and supplier delivery.
• Candidates with experience coordinating closely with material planning or production planning teams are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in electronics, EMS/PCBA, plastic injection moulding, precision engineering, metal fabrication, stamping, machining or related manufacturing environments will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems.
• Good supplier coordination, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work effectively with purchasing, planning, production and warehouse teams

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities for production materials, components and manufacturing requirements.
• Review MRP requirements, material demand and purchase requirements to support production.
• Issue and manage purchase orders according to material requirements and production schedules.
• Follow up closely with suppliers on delivery schedules, lead times and material availability.
• Monitor material shortages and take appropriate action to minimize production disruption.
• Expedite critical materials and resolve potential supply or delivery issues.
• Coordinate closely with planning, production, warehouse and other supply chain functions on material readiness.
• Monitor inventory requirements and support appropriate inventory levels.
• Obtain quotations and manage supplier pricing and commercial matters.
• Support supplier negotiations covering cost, lead time, delivery and purchasing terms.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and resolve supply-related issues.
• Support cost reduction, alternative sourcing and supplier improvement activities.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, material and supplier information within the ERP/MRP system
