Job summary

bp is seeking a Senior Market Risk Analyst to provide deep business understanding and control through value-add reporting and analysis. The role interfaces with the trading front office to balance independence with business partnership, delivering daily exposures, VaR reporting, and insights.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Science) or equivalent experience.
• Professional accounting qualification or advanced degree in accounting/finance.
• Experience in commodity trading or supply with emphasis on derivative accounting, fair value valuation, controls, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Understand trading strategies and provide independent challenge to Front Office within risk framework.
• Identify market risk issues across markets and coordinate solutions with relevant teams.
• Run and administer market risk models and analytics; ensure outputs are robust and explainable.
