Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Kulim, Malaysia, seeks a Senior Manager Wafer Test Planning to drive frontend Wafer Test Planning (WTP) end-to-end, ensure capacity, and guide strategic decisions. You will lead a high-performance team and partner with divisions and external partners to optimize the test roadmap.

You will champion data-driven decision making and continuous improvement across Wafer Test planning, aligning with long-term business goals and sustainability objectives.

Qualifications

• A degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a comparable field.
• Extensive professional experience (10+ years) in Front end planning, Wafer Test, semiconductor operations, or digital transformation including leadership responsibility.
• Deep expertise in Wafer Test planning (demand, capacity, cost, investment logic) and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Strong, pro-active communication & influencing skills at senior management level.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to translate complex data into business decisions, paired with a hands‑on, solution‑oriented approach to resolving urgent operational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Frontend Wafer Test Planning (WTP) team, ensuring capabilities and competencies are in place to drive a high-performance and collaborative culture.
• Own consolidate and lead Front end Wafer Test Planning (WTP) execution end-to-end.
• Ensure sufficient wafer test capacity is allocated for both In-house and External Wafer Manufacturing to meet short-, mid-, and long-term demand.
• Lead cross-functional resolution of critical Wafer Test capacity and supply-demand imbalances with rapid, fact-based recommendations.
• Translate Long-Term / Min Max planning results into strategic recommendations for the optimized Target Cost Road map and Wafer Test strategy.
• Act as key interface for Wafer Test topics to Divisions, Frontend sites, EWM, TTI, Finance, PROC, and senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement of Wafer Test planning processes, including automation of processes, models and tools.

• Lead and develop the Frontend Wafer Test Planning (WTP) team, ensuring capabilities and competencies are in place to drive a high-performance and collaborative culture.
• Own consolidate and lead Front end Wafer Test Planning (WTP) execution end-to-end.
• Ensuring sufficient wafer test capacity is allocated for both In-house and External Wafer Manufacturing (EWM) to meet short- (PP), mid - (VRFC) and long-term (Min Max) demand.
• Lead the cross-functional resolution of critical Wafer Test capacity and supply-demand imbalances, providing rapid, fact-based recommendations and decision support during operational escalations while ensuring alignment with long-term strategic objectives.
• Translate Long-Term / Min Max planning results into strategic recommendations for the optimized (Long term) Target Cost Road map (L)TCR and Wafer Test manufacturing strategy e.g. area assessments, tester migrations and Make or Buy considerations for in-house capacity extension proposals and external test houses.
• Act as key interface for Wafer Test related topics to Divisions, Frontend sites, EWM, TTI, Finance, PROC, and senior management
• Drive continuous improvement of our Wafer Test planning processes e.g. by automation of processes, models, and tools to establish data-driven decision-making

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Deep expertise in Wafer Test planning (demand, capacity, cost, investment logic) and semiconductor manufacturing processes
• Strong, pro-active communication & influencing skills at senior management level
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to translate complex data into business decisions, paired with a hands‑on, solution‑oriented approach to resolving urgent operational challenges, capacity constraints, and business escalations
• Experience in leading cross-functional and international teams & stakeholders
• Good understanding of planning tools, data models, digitalization approaches
• Fluency in English
