OBJECTIVE / PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To lead project planning and schedule control by developing, integrating and monitoring master programmes across engineering, regulatory approvals, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning. The role ensures effective risk management, reliable forecasting and timely achievement of contractual and project milestones.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain the integrated Project Master Schedule in Primavera P6, covering engineering, approvals, procurement, construction, grid works, testing and commissioning.
- Review and consolidate contractor, consultant and supplier schedules to ensure alignment with the approved baseline and contractual milestones.
- Monitor progress, productivity, critical paths and delays, and recommend mitigation, acceleration and recovery measures.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules, progress dashboards, milestone trackers, manpower histograms and management reports.
- Integrate procurement, long-lead equipment delivery, authority approvals and grid-connection requirements into the overall programme.
- Coordinate planning interfaces with TNB, authorities, contractors, consultants and internal teams to support energisation and project completion.
- Validate contractor progress and maintain schedule records for payment certification, variation orders, EOT assessments and delay analysis.
- Perform reporting and presentation to various stakeholders, including management.
- Develop and produce weekly and monthly reports as per the required cut-off timeline, as well as other reports as required.
QUALIFICATION / KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of project-planning or project-controls experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or lead capacity.
- Proven experience in large-scale renewable energy, power, utility or infrastructure projects, preferably involving EPCC delivery and high-voltage grid connection.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6, schedule baselining, critical-path analysis, progress measurement, forecasting and recovery planning.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, construction sequencing, testing, commissioning, EOT and delay-analysis requirements.
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate TNB, authorities, contractors, consultants and project teams.
- Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving capability, with a disciplined focus on safety, quality and timely project delivery.
- Strong report‑writing and presentation skills, with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to consolidate data into clear, timely management reports.
