Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a strategic project manager to support the GMD in evaluating investments and business opportunities within mining sectors. You will conduct market research, feasibility studies, due diligence, and risk assessments to inform management decisions.

You will coordinate projects from planning to execution, liaise with regulators, consultants, and partners, manage timelines, budgets, and travel to sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mining, Geology, or related field.
• MBA is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Mining/Quarry with at least 5 years in a managerial or project management role.
• Experience in feasibility studies, project development, business cases, investment proposals, and stakeholder/government liaison is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willing to travel and work beyond normal office hours when required.

Job description

Support the GMD in evaluating new investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, and business opportunities through market research, feasibility studies, due diligence, risk assessment, and financial/business analysis.

Prepare business proposals, investment papers, project reports, presentations, and recommendations for management review.

Coordinate strategic projects from planning to implementation, monitoring timelines, budgets, milestones, deliverables, and overall progress.

Liaise with internal departments, consultants, contractors, business partners, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Identify project and operational risks, resolve implementation issues, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Support in monitoring mining, quarry, processing plant, and related operations, including performance, equipment utilization, maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Conduct site visits and inspections and support operational improvement initiatives when required.

Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, investors, consultants, contractors, and other external stakeholders on behalf of the Group.

Assist the GMD with strategic planning, business initiatives, management reports, meetings, presentations, and follow-up on action items.

Support corporate planning, performance monitoring, governance, documentation, and process improvement activities.

Handle confidential information and undertake special projects or assignments as directed by the GMD.

Willing to travel to project sites, government offices, business meetings, and other external engagements as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mining, Geology, or a related field; MBA is an advantage.

Minimum5 years of experience in the Mining/Quarry industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial or project management role.

Experience in mining, quarrying, mineral processing, heavy industries, manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, or related sectors.

Experience in feasibility studies, project development, business cases, investment proposals, and stakeholder/government liaison is preferred.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong organizational and project coordination abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Willing to travel and work beyond normal office hours when required.
