Job summary

AmBank Group is seeking a performance-focused professional to assist the Section Head – BBPM in achieving annual financial targets and budgets while ensuring robust performance tracking and reporting.

ROLE emphasizes compliance with regulatory requirements and AML programmes, risk identification, and collaboration with Finance, Compliance and Internal Audit to produce timely reports and maintain SLAs. Strong data analysis and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Marketing, Accounting, Management or Statistics.
• Islamic Finance certifications are an added advantage but not mandatory.
• General Banking / Credit Management certification is an added advantage.
• 5–10 years’ experience in customer relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal/external customers and stakeholders to achieve annual targets.
• Analyse and monitor performance against targets to support performance management and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal AML policies.
• Identify, assess, monitor and escalate business risks including regulatory and financial impacts.
• Support Business Operational Control and Group Business Banking in maintaining controls.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports with Finance, Compliance and Internal Audit.

Job description

Work closely with internal and external customers and all stakeholders of Islamic BB to assist Section Head – BBPM to: -

• Ensure annual financial targets, budgets and KPIs are achieved, and provide input on potential targets for subsequent years.
• Analyse and monitor performance against established targets to support effective performance management, tracking and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures, including the Group’s AML Programme.
• Identify, assess, monitor and elevate business risks, including potential regulatory, financial and franchise impacts.
• Support Business Operational Control (BOC) functions and Group Business Banking to maintain effective operational controls.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports in collaboration with Finance, Compliance, Internal Audit and other relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor, prepare and update Service Level Agreements (SLAs), where applicable.
• Ensure operational processes and procedures are clearly defined, documented and maintained.

Qualifications

• Masters/ Bachelor's Degree in Finance/ Banking/ Marketing/ Accounting/ Management/ Statistics
• Islamic Finance certifications from recognized institutions (added advantage but not a must)
• General Banking/ Credit Management certification from recognized institutions (added advantage but not a must
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in similar industry especially in customer relationship management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Intermediate to advance knowledge in Islamic banking product and services
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (e.g. Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint.
• Experience in data mining and business performance analysis would be an added advantage.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting would be an added advantage.
