Job summary

Sandisk in Penang, Malaysia seeks a seasoned Frontend Assembly Equipment Engineering and Maintenance leader to ensure high equipment reliability and manufacturing performance. You will drive uptime, maintenance strategy, capital planning, and cross-functional collaboration to support factory objectives.

The role requires 12–15 years in equipment engineering and 5–8 years in leadership, with strong RCAs and CAPA execution, and a track record of cost-effective improvements in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 12-15 years of experience in equipment engineering, maintenance, reliability, or manufacturing operations in high-volume environments.
• Minimum 5-8 years in leadership, managing managers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead equipment engineering, maintenance, reliability, and technical support teams to meet manufacturing performance targets.
• Drive continuous improvement in equipment availability, reliability, MTBA, downtime, and efficiency.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Provide technical leadership for equipment upgrades, automation, and process improvements.
• Monitor factory performance and lead recovery actions for major downtime events.
• Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective actions (RCA/8D/5-Why/CAPA).
• Develop organizational capability through coaching, training and talent development.
• Manage operating and capital budgets and optimize resources.
