Job summary

Sandisk is seeking a senior leader to head the Test Equipment Engineering team in Penang. The role focuses on maintaining equipment reliability, delivering manufacturing support, and driving improvements across the factory.

You will guide daily engineering activities, manage incidents, and collaborate with cross‑functional groups to prioritize project outcomes and system reliability. The ideal candidate has a technical degree and 7–10 years in test equipment or related manufacturing engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant technical discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience in Test Equipment Engineering or related manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading engineers, technicians, or cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of test equipment operations, reliability engineering, troubleshooting, maintenance and production support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Test Equipment Engineering team to meet goals.
• Oversee daily equipment engineering activities including planning and execution.
• Ensure equipment readiness, reliability, uptime, and production support for manufacturing commitments.
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and equipment performance initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs, operational efficiency, and maintenance effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Quality and other teams to resolve issues.
