2C2P System (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Compliance Director to lead regulatory and financial crime risk efforts in a fast-moving fintech environment. The role reports to the Director of Compliance based in Singapore and covers AML, sanctions, regulatory compliance and advisory across regional stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in financial compliance, strong knowledge of Malaysia regulations (BNM, AMLA) and proven ability to balance business growth with compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business or related discipline.
• 10+ years of compliance experience in financial institutions; fintech/payments exposure is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia regulatory requirements (BNM, AMLA) and sanctions.

Responsabilités

• Perform regulatory and financial crime risk assessments prior to new product launches, identifying changes in processes and coordinating implementation with stakeholders.
• Serve as escalation point for AML and Sanctions topics, and provide regulatory advisory to stakeholders.
• Track regulatory changes and regulator notifications, perform gap analyses and coordinate process implementations with stakeholders.
• Review and update compliance policies and procedures.
• Work with Business, Product and Operational Units and external stakeholders on compliance matters.
• Assist with inspections, filings, surveys and regulatory communications.
• Report and escalate to Group Compliance as needed.
• Support the Director of Compliance with regional initiatives and other compliance tasks.

Reporting directly to the Director of Compliance who is based in Singapore. This role will cover multiple aspects of compliance including AML, sanctions, regulatory compliance and advisory. This role is ideal for an experienced compliance professional who thrives in a fast-moving fintech environment, is excellent at collaborating with cross-function teams, and sets up processes and controls in a scalable manner.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform regulatory and financial crime risk assessments prior to new product launches, identifying key areas where changes in processes are needed and working with stakeholders to put the changes in place
• Serve as escalation point for topics including AML and Sanctions, and provide regulatory advisory to stakeholders
• Keep track of regulatory changes and notifications from regulator, perform gap analysis and work with stakeholders to implement processes
• Review and updating of compliance policies and procedures
• Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Business, Product and Operational Units, as well as any relevant external stakeholders in regard to compliance matters
• Help with inspections, filings, surveys and regulatory communications
• Reporting and escalation to Group Compliance, as needed
• Support the Director of Compliance with regional initiatives and handle any other compliance tasks as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in compliance within financial institutions; experience in fintech or payments is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia regulatory requirements (BNM, AMLA, etc.) and international compliance standards including sanctions.
• Strong ability to balance business growth with regulatory requirements, offering pragmatic recommendations
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Experience in payments regulations across South East Asia is a strong advantage
