Job summary

Businesslist is seeking a Compliance Manager to lead the development and execution of our compliance programs in Kuala Lumpur. You will oversee policy creation, regulatory alignment, and risk mitigation across all departments, ensuring timely audits and issue resolution.

The role requires extensive experience in payments or regulated financial services, with strong ability to engage stakeholders and translate complex guidelines into actionable controls.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in Compliance/Regulatory/Risk/Assurance
• 5+ years in payments or regulated financial services (BNM/SC)
• Experience developing/completing compliant policies and procedures
• Experience with SOC 2/ISO 27001/PCI DSS as coordinator or control owner

Job description

The Successful Applicant

A successful Compliance Manager should have:

• Approximately 8-10 years of relevant experience in Compliance, Regulatory, Risk or Assurance, with at least 5 years in BNM-regulated payments, e-money, banking or similar products regulated by the Securities Commission Malaysia, or experience serving comparable fintech, payments or regulated financial services providers, either in Malaysia or other markets.
• Proven ability to develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
• Hands-on experience with at least two of SOC 2, ISO 27001 or PCI DSS, preferably as a coordinator or control owner rather than solely as an auditor.
• Experience in conducting audits and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in analysing and interpreting regulatory guidelines.
