Overview
Micron Technology is a world leader in memory and storage solutions. This challenging role will develop and grow corporate and international finance functions at Micron in Penang, reporting to the Director of Financial Accounting.
Responsibilities
- Direct the planning, operations and administration of in‑scope corporate and international accounting functions within a Shared Service environment.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly close processes for global entities in accordance with US GAAP while maintaining statutory financials.
- Establish effective internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, local and international regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
- Maintain SOX compliance through internal control documentation, recommendations, and enforcement.
- Benchmark processes against industry best‑in‑class and drive measurable improvements in COE operational outcomes (cycle time, productivity, stability, quality) aligned with COE strategic direction.
- Contribute to global execution of key strategic initiatives and projects.
- Coordinate team deliverables for audits and maintain a positive customer‑service focus for internal and external stakeholders.
- Think strategically to pre‑empt and adapt to dynamic market conditions.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA preferred).
- MBA is an advantage.
- >15+ years of experience in finance, accounting, and reporting.
- >12+ years in high‑tech industry leadership or in a matrix organization.
- >10+ years of automation experience (LEAN, RPA, SAPERP, S4).
