Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced System Engineer (Linux / Web Server) to manage our Linux servers, websites, backend infrastructure, databases, and online services. The role requires at least 4 years of relevant Linux/system administration experience and understanding of frontend, backend, API, and database layers.

You will ensure our online services are stable, secure, fast, and available while monitoring resources, traffic, and performance across the stack.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in system engineering or Linux administration.
• Strong practical experience with Linux server administration and production environments.
• Good knowledge of Nginx/Apache and web server configuration.
• Understanding HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, and networking basics.
• Experience with server monitoring and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience analysing logs and troubleshooting across frontend, backend, API, database, and server layers.

Responsibilities

• Linux server and system administration for production environments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot web servers (Nginx/Apache) and backend services.
• Monitor CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth, and server health; manage capacity.
• Monitor website traffic, user activity, and system resource usage.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot backend/API/database issues.
• Ensure security hardening, backups, and reliability of production services.
• Respond to incidents and document configurations and resolutions.
