Job summary

Oxydata Software Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Senior Linux Administrator to manage enterprise Linux infrastructure in a high-availability data centre in Kuala Lumpur. You will install, configure, and maintain Red Hat and CentOS systems, ensure patching and security hardening, and support virtualization and DevOps automation initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years in Linux engineering/administration, strong shell scripting, and familiarity with Ansible or Jenkins, plus experience with VMware

Qualifications

• Legal right to work in Malaysia; visa sponsorship not available.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Linux Engineer/Administrator.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux OS (Red Hat, CentOS) and shell scripting.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and automation tools such as Ansible or Jenkins.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as RHEV Hypervisor or VMware.
• Experience supporting enterprise Linux infrastructure in data centre/production environments.

• Exposure to DevOps practices and automation tools such as Ansible or Jenkins.
• Experience with virtualisation technologies such as RHEV Hypervisor or VMware.
• Experience supporting enterprise Linux infrastructure in data centre or production environments.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Familiarity with automation and infrastructure management practices.
• Exposure to DevOps pipelines and infrastructure-as-code environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or telecommunications infrastructure environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
