Job summary

Allianz Malaysia is seeking an experienced Life Underwriter to own underwriting of life risk, align with authority, and support KPI attainment. The role emphasizes prudent, compliant decisions and collaboration with sales teams.

You will train junior underwriters, manage high sum assured cases, and contribute to group initiatives while applying AI-assisted data analysis to generate actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical, Biotech or related field.
• 4–5 years underwriting life insurance experience.
• Experience underwriting high sum assured is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable to changes and AI data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and counter sign life insurance risks.
• Meet personal and department KPIs.
• Mentor junior underwriters.
• Collaborate to meet department turnaround times.
• Observe quality underwriting practices and guidelines.
• Engage with Sales Team and agents.
• Support value-added underwriting services and initiatives.
• Support group initiatives aligning with group direction.
• Perform other duties as required.
