Job summary

Puncak Niaga Holdings Berhad is seeking a diligent Legal Counsel to manage and oversee litigation, provide strategic advice to management, and draft critical contracts across our operations. You will liaise with external solicitors, ensure compliance with laws and internal policies, support corporate exercises, maintain robust documentation, and mitigate risks across civil and commercial disputes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) with admission to the Malaysian Bar.
• Minimum 7–10 years of working experience, with strong exposure to civil litigation practice.
• Prior experience in a legal firm handling commercial disputes and court proceedings is essential.
• Experience in an in-house legal role will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure, contract law, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and work under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all litigation and dispute resolution matters, including civil and commercial disputes
• Liaise and coordinate with external solicitors, counsel, and regulatory authorities
• Provide sound legal advice to management and various departments on operational and contractual issues
• Draft, review, and vet contracts, agreements, and legal documents
• Develop litigation strategies and monitor ongoing cases to ensure optimal outcomes
• Assess legal risks and recommend mitigation measures
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Support the Legal Department in corporate exercises, where required
• Maintain proper documentation and reporting of legal matters
