Senior Lead Structural Engineer — Offshore Oil & Gas

Job summary

Global Process Systems in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia seeks an experienced Senior Lead Engineer to coordinate discipline teams for offshore Oil & Gas EPC projects. You will drive safe, on-budget delivery and ensure schedule adherence, while mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices across disciplines.

This role requires proactive client interface and rigorous documentation control to meet client contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 17 years in the Offshore Oil & Gas industry with at least 7 years in Lead /Supervisor /Reviewer level.
• Supervisory, communication, presentation and organisational skills.
• Bachelor Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Desirable to have exposure to construction, fabrication, Installation in Oil & Gas EPC projects

Responsibilities

• To lead, coordinate and manage discipline teams ensuring safe, effective and successful implementation and delivery of engineering projects within budget and schedule requirements.
• Participate in Business development Initiatives.
• Maintain high quality for all aspects of work and produce documentation in line with quality standards of the company and meeting Client contractual requirements.
• Takes full responsibility for engineering deliverables such as Calculations, Technical Specifications, Data Sheets, Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations, Schedules etc.
• Manage through developed schedules all resources, costs and deadlines to ensure project objectives are met. Bring to the attention of the necessary parties, any problems, assistance or matters that may affect quality, deadlines or costs.
• Proactive communication between groups and actively interface with Clients and external agencies as required
• To assist in the mentoring, coaching and training of group employees in work processes and values.
